In the following, we introduce the scenes in the Squid Game series, as well as the actual places in Seoul. If you’re planning a trip to Korea, and if you enjoyed watching the Squid Game series, I recommend you to stop by the place introduced at least once.
Let’s check out the locations!

The first place to introduce is Paldo Dried Fish located in Dobong-gu, Seoul. In the Squid Game series, it appears as a store run by the character Sang-woo’s mother. I’m sure many of you were wondering what the numerous items were displayed in the store while watching the series.
I’m sure some of you have already noticed the name of the place. This is a store that sells dried fish and seafood. It is written as ‘건어물’ in Korean, but I think it would be good to pronounce it as ‘gonna-mul’ in English pronunciation.

The next place I’m going to introduce is Ssangmun Uicheon, CU Convenience Store. This is the place where Ki-hoon, the main character in the Squid Game series, and the elderly Il-nam sat down and talked together.
Inside the series, it was filmed against the backdrop of a rainy night, but even if you go at a time other than a rainy night, there will be no problem in taking pictures of the feeling of the work in the series.
In particular, if you need to eat snacks while walking around various filming locations in Dobong-gu, it would be a good idea to stop by the CU convenience store here to feel like a character and solve your hunger.

Yeouido

The next place I’m going to introduce is Yeouido, located in Seoul. Yeouido is an island located in the middle of Seoul and is the representative financial center of Korea. If there’s Wall Street in the United States, you can say there’s Yeouido in Seoul. In order to participate in the game to reverse life, I think the intention of the producer is to choose an area where a lot of money is collected.
The representative scenes filmed here in Yeouido are as follows. I will explain in the order in which the pictures are arranged. First of all, it is in front of the convenience store where the characters Sang-woo and Ali appear together. Why don’t we stop by a convenience store for snacks before we travel to Yeouido?
The next place you can see is where the main character Ki-hoon rides a car to participate in the game. The attraction of this place is that the atmosphere is very different between day and night, and between weekdays and weekends. It’s usually a very crowded place with office workers, but it’s rarely crowded late at night or on weekends, and it’s full of skyscrapers. It’s good enough for those who want to feel the quiet night streets of the city.
The last scene you can see is where the characters Sang-woo and Ali are thrown away together. This is the park where you can enjoy Yeouido and Han River together is located. The building seen far away in the picture is the 63 Building, which was once famous as the tallest building in Korea. Yeouido is a must-visit course if you plan a trip to Korea because there are many other things to enjoy besides the filming location.
